    3. Dear Hugh, Thank you - I will go on line first and see what I can find. I really think I need to try to get to Kew over the winter. I have the Cambrian Index on line but is there a similar website for Bristol and the Times please? Do you know if the Tredegar Iron Company also kept records of employees in the early days and where they would be please? They are not at the Cwmbran archives. with thanks Diana ----- Original Message ----- From: "Hugh Watkins" <hugh.watkins@gmail.com> To: <monmouthshire@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, October 04, 2007 11:27 PM Subject: Re: [MON] Great Western Railway > the company records are in the National Archives at Kew > (since the nationalisation of the railways) > > see also newspaper reports in Bristol and The Times of London > at least the directors will be mentioned > > Hugh W > > On 04/10/2007, Little Warren Farm <littlewarrenfarm@btinternet.com> wrote: >> Dear list, >> >> Does anyone know if there is a list anywhere of investors in the GWR in >> the early years? >> >> thank you >> Diana >> >> ------------------------------- >> To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to >> MONMOUTHSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without >> the quotes in the subject and the body of the message >> > > > -- > For genealogy and help with family and local history in Bristol and > district. > http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Brycgstow/ > > http://snaps4.blogspot.com/ photographs and walks > > main blog GENEALOGE > http://hughw36.blogspot.com/ MAIN BLOG > > ------------------------------- > To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to > MONMOUTHSHIRE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the > quotes in the subject and the body of the message >
