I would be very grateful if anyone on the Monmouthshire list could help with confirming possible death and remarriage dates. My great grandaunt, Sarah WILKINS, married Albert SMITH in Brize Norton Oxfordshire in 1886 and they moved fairly soon afterwards to Llanfechfra Lower (1891 census). At this time they had 2 children Tom Wilkins SMITH and Annie Wilkins SMITH. By the 1901 census Albert was married to Eliza SMITH, and 5 children are listed. The two as above plus Elsie W (9), Edith W (7) and Arthur W (4). I presume that the 'W' in each case stands for WILKINS, their mother's maiden name. This leads me to suspect that Sarah died after the birth of Arthur, i.e between 1897 and 1901. Can anyone please confirm this for me. Additionally can anyone confirm the surname of Eliza, she isl isted as being born in Holwell Oxfordshire, and candidate surnames are BLUNSDEN, HOPES and BRUNSDEN. There are two deaths that may be worth investigating, both Sarah SMITH March 1897 age 39 i.e. b about 1858 married at about 28 March 1899 age 38 i.e. b about 1861 married at about 25 Also a death of a Sarah SMITH age 0 in Dec qr 1897. from www.freebmd.org.uk/ Jeff
