Evening all, I've lived in the Eastern Valley all my life and, Grancher was a title that I heard mostly when I was younger. Seems to me that nowadays, men prefer to be called grandad, grandpa or, if the children have a particular pronunciation problem, e.g. Bampy for grampy. Purely as a different slant on the name, I prefer to be called Grumpy! Sort of suits me I think! All 5 g/kids agree!
