The marriage certificate has the following information (it's a poor copy, so my transcription may have slight errors): 19 Sept 1901, at the Parish Curch, Cwmyoy. Charles Powell, full age, bach, labourer, Berry Cottage, Llanvihangel Crucorney Father: Joseph Powell, Labourer. Catherine Johnson, full age, widow, The Rock, Cwmyoy Father: John Walbeyoff, Labourer Witnesses: Henry Powell, Annie Shaw Married by Rlashiell C. Lewis, after banns. I know that Catherine Walbeyoff was previously married to a George Johnson (in 1889, Abergavenny) who died in 1896, and I can find Catherine and her family in the 1901 census, at Cwmyoy. There is a Charles Powell at Cwmyoy, but I don't know if it's the right one. And there's no sign of his father Joseph Powell or Berry Cottage. > looks like half of it [Llanvhangel Crucorney] is missing in 1901 Maybe that's why I can't find Berry Cottage there in 1901? Where else can I look -- directories? Dave
