He referred to the fact that you have McCarthys and Donovans in your tree - as do I. My mother's maternal Grandmother was Ellen McCarthy (born 1872) who married William Wallace in 1893. Ellen was the daughter of James (AKA John) McCarthy (born c.1841) and Johannah Donovan (born c.1842) both of whom were born in Ireland and lived in Merthyr Tydfil before moving to Swansea. Ellen had at least 12 siblings: John, Johannah, Mary, Edward, Margaret, Bridget, Catherine, Elizabeth, James, Patrick, Daniel and Julia. Do any of these match up with your McCarthys and Donovans?
