    3. I have a newspaper report of the funeral of my great grandfather in Pontypridd. He was killed in the Taff Vale railcrash of 1893. They held a private funeral at the offices of Messrs Spickett & Sons, where my great grandfather was a solicitor, and the only female present was his mother who had travelled from Nottingham with her husband. His pregnant wife who was also from Nottingham was not there. I assume that not being Welsh and the service not being held in a church or chapel made her feel comfortable about attending. The interment was held at Glyntaff, but there were no details of those present.
