Would SKS help me to find Maria JONES and her two sons in the 1841 census please? The boys are: George Jones born c.1835 in Tidenham, Gloucestershire Edwin Jones born c.1836 in St. Woollos, Newport, Monmouthshire According to future census Maria was born c.1808 in Tidenham, Gloucestershire. She married George JONES in 1834 in Chepstow Parish Church and they appear together living in Dolphin Street, Newport in 1851. My puzzle is that in 1841 I've found George JONES living in Commercial Wharf, Newport Docks, Newport 1841 Census of Monmouthshire HO107/751/5/5 Commercial Wharf, Newport Docks, Newport, Monmouthshire George Jones 30 Shipwright N Harriet Jones 30 N Harriet Jones 4 Y Eliza Jones 1 Y I wondered at first if the enumerator had made an error with Maria's name and written in Harriet but on searching further I found this entry in the IGI: Harriet Jones baptised 20 August 1837 in St. Woolas, Newport, Monmouthshire Parents: George & Harriet Jones It appears that they went their separate ways for a while but then became reunited. However, I've tried all different ways of finding Maria and the two boys in 1841 but so far have been unsuccessful and would appreciate any help please. Sue (Kent)
