Can anyone help with sources for ships leaving Newport in October/November 1940? My FIL was Sergeant I/C MT (ie dozens of vehicles) for the 4th Durham Survey RA regiment when the were ordered to Egypt at the end of 1940. His diary records the trip to Newport and then later sailing form Liverpool on RMS Scythia on 1 Nov 1940. This ship was part of Convoy WS.4 and three ships in that convoy came from Newport.. Delius, Martand and Port Wyndham. I am looking for any possible sources which can add to our information. TIA Robin Scotland
