His output is estimated at a sack per twenty minutes. He has made an open challenge to compete against any four women in the country. Recently he competed single-handed against a "team" of seven women. He finished up a brilliant winner. Damage estimated at £300 was caused by fire at the shop of Mr. W. BARNETT, draper, Nolfon-street, Bridgend. (Is there a Nolfon or should it be Nolton) Mrs. Blanche WITHERS has been missing from her home at 15, Park-place, Gilfach, Bargoed, since Saturday. Mrs. WITHERS, who is 29 years of age, is about 5ft. in height, and has dark brown bobbed hair and grey eyes. She has the initials "L.C." tattoed on one arm above the wrist, and "B.C." in the same position on the other arm. She was also wearing a signet ring with the monogram "W.J.W." The rescue of a horse from the edge of a quarry, 60ft. deep, on the mountain between Mardy and Ferndale, was described at the Porth Police-court on Thursday, when Haydn DAVIES 16, Edward-street, Mardy; Hugh EVANS 16, Wrgrant-place, Mardy; and Arthur LEWIS, Griffith-street, Mardy, were charged with cruelty to two horses by over-riding and terrifying them. Police-constable HENLOCK said he saw three boys riding two horses on the mountain. When a good way up the the mountain the bay slipped and rolled about 30 yards down the side of the mountain and the three boys ran away. Defendants were ordered to pay 4s. costs and were placed on probation for twelve months. Recent Wills.
