It's on the Pontypool-Abergavenny road ============== Dear Roy, The GENUKI website gives the church dedication as St Peter, see: http://www.genuki.org.uk/big/wal/MON/Goytrey/ -------------- "GOYTREY, a parish in the hundred of Upper Abergavenny, county Monmouth, 5 miles N.E. of Pont-y-Pool, and 5 S. of Abergavenny, its post town. It is situated in the vicinity of the river Usk, and on the Brecon canal, which has a wharf here. The West Midland railway passes in the neighbourhood. The scenery is very beautiful, and a large portion of the surface is woodland. There are quarries of lime and building stone, and tiles are manufactured. The living is a rectory in the diocese of Llandaff, value £227. The church is dedicated to St. Peter. There are places of worship belonging to the Baptists and Wesleyans. The parochial charities produce about £1 per annum."
