Hi all Well, I suppose to post a request just before Christmas and the New Year was rather a silly time, so can I again bring to your attention that Freecen Monmouthshire is looking for more transcribers to help get the census' online FREE for people to search. So, if you have some spare time, finger power and an interest, then please get in touch with me in the first instance at [email protected] though you will be passed to the Monmouthshire Coordinator. I just need to monitor how the appeal goes. Basically it is a case of putting the information from the census sheets on to a preformatted spreadsheet. There is plenty of help available in the form of your coordinator, a help list, a chat list, a file to help you if you get stuck, though usually the help list is best if you are just starting. Just think of the benefits of being able to look up your ancestors FOR FREE - can't be bad.
