    3. Thanks to Ann for Gwent FHS info; and to Michael Elliott Jones, responding to somebody else, has actually led me to a John WATERS marriage, not on IGI and the interchanging use of WALTERS/WATERS. If anybody runs across a marriage of John WATERS (or Walters) to Martha prior to 1814 and birth of daughter, SARAH about 1814/1815, could you please let me know. The only family info I have about my gggGrandmother, was provided by her husband on her Death Cert. in 1853, in Australia. He gave Abergavenny as her birthplace but that doesn't seem to be correct; I'm sure a Parish Register somewhere, holds the answer. Repeated above info, in case anybody is reading this for first time. With or without her family, SARAH was certainly in Cathedine Parish in Breconshire in 1832. Any ideas/suggestions gratefully received. Kind regards, Dawn Stanton. (Tasmania,Australia.)

    3. Hi Sawn Don't forget that she may have been born in Abergavenny but baptised somewhere else - her mother's home parish for instance, especially if she is the eldest or her mother went home to have her first child with her own mother to help in Abergavenny but had the baby baptised in her new parish. Usually the former scenario. Birthplace can be different to baptism place.
