Parish officers might often witness marriages if they could read and write, including those of people unrelated to them. An Arnold WATERS was buried in Nash age 93 on 24 May 1813 It may well be worth looking at other parishes nearby along the Gwent levels, low-lying land along the coast of the Bristol Channel.
