Hi Barbara Many thanks for your reply. Emily LIPPIATT in the Bristol 1901 census gives her birth place as Blaina,Wales !!!!!. She married in Bristol in April 1877 (Albert SPEAR) In the Bristol 1871 census she was living with her aunt and uncle. Also, not sure where Blaina is ??? Hi Everyone Could someone please help with the following Looking for the parents of Emily LIPPIATT born circa 1858 in or near Abergavenny. Possible in the 1861/71 census returns Many thanks Tony
Tony, I think I found her!! Indexed as Emily Kesiald WYATT in Aberystruth, Monmouthshire, age 2. Parents William and Hannah; siblings Edward, William James, and George. If you look at the page image, her father's surname is spelled LIPYATT. The poor transcriber didn't have a chance, and went with WYATT. I'll send you the page image directly through Ancestry.com's share feature. Hello Tony, I have also searched other places in Wales for her on the 1861/1871 Census and there is no record showing for her, have you her married name and her husbands name. Because if you have it would be best to obtain her marriage certificate and that will tell you the name of her father. Regards Barbara
Hello Tony, There is no Emily Lippiatt in Monmouthshire on the 1861 Census, I placed only her Christian name and searched for all forms of Lippiatt but none came up. Regards Barbara

good morning Catherine , Thank you for your response to my inquiry regarding William James Shepherd who married Mary Robinson@ at Newport in 1881 and their two sons James and Alfred who were living with their grandparents Thomas and mMargaet Rollins at Chepstow en 1891 [census ) . On this evidence I don't think there is a direct connection with your Shepherds, however thanks for your interest and response , Kind regards , Peter Webb --- Caedmunds@aol.com wrote: > Hi Peter, > > I am currently researching my fiancé's Shepherd > family. > > His Shepherds are most recently found in Tredegar > (which is now Blaenau > Gwent rather than Mon.). Dear Listers, This week's 'Retrospective Images of Wales' webpages, just uploaded onto my website, include: 1. A visit to the parish of Llanfihangel Rhydithon, including Dolau railway station, in the county of Radnorshire (eleven pictures). This feature was first shown on 'Images of Wales' in September 1998. 2. A two-page exploration of the ancient Pembroke Castle in the county of Pembrokeshire (fourteen pictures). This feature was first shown on 'Images of Wales' in July 1999. As usual, these webpages will be on display for one week. Regards , Peter webb .
Hi Peter, I am currently researching my fiancé's Shepherd family. His Shepherds are most recently found in Tredegar (which is now Blaenau Gwent rather than Mon.). We have traced them through Birmingham to Malvern & furthest back to Nottingham (John Shepherd b.1767 Kneeton, Nottingham & Elizabeth Clifton b.1769) I'm not sure if this is your right William, but I have: William Shepherd b. 1856 Car Colston, Nottingham, who was christened on 30th January 1859 at Car Colston. I'm afraid I don't have any information relating to marriage or children, but I do have details of his siblings, parents, grandparents & great grandparents which I would be happy to share if we have a link. All the best, Catherine.x
