Hello Jules. From the archives XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX Hi Jules The mother had indeed remarried by 1851, to a man called William Anson. Together with John 20, Richard 17, Shadrach 13, Thomas 10, Mechach 7 and Abendigo 3 (all spellings as recorded in census) they all lived in Puddlers Row, Aberystruth, wherever that was! The four youngest boys were all born in France, and William was born in Staffordshire. William and the four oldest boys worked as puddlers, which I'd not heard of before and apparently involved stirring molten iron at the forge as part of the purification process. Hi, I am researching the Powell family who lived in Llanvihangel Crucorney in the early 1900s. I have the 1901 marriage certificate of Charles Powell (son of Joseph Powell) which states that he was living at Berry Cottage, Llanvihangel Crucorney, in September 1901. I also have the birth certificate of Charles's son Archibald, which also shows his place of birth as Berry Cottage, Llanvihangel Crucorney, in January 1907. I cannot identify Charles or Joseph in the 1901 census, and when I search the entire Llanvihangel Crucorney entry in that census there is no sign of Berry Cottage.
