The funeral of the late Sir Hugh WILLIAMS took place on Saturday afternoon at Bodelwyddan Church, which was erected by his sister the Dowager Lady WILLOUGHBY de BROKE, as a memorial to her husband. The ceremony was very unostentatious, the hearse, in accordance with the request of the late baronet, being drawn by his charger, which was shot after the funeral. Hills Dry Dock, fell from his machine and sustained injuries to the skull that necessiated his detention at the Royal Infirmary where he was removed. Arthur Stanley WESTON 19, of 23, Fairford-street, Cadoxton, engaged at the Gwalia Brick Quarry, Dinas Powis, died at the Town Accidental Hospital, following injuries sustained by being buried under a fall of rock. He  was engaged in undermining a ledge of rock which had to be removed when the roof collapsed. His workmates found him buried under. TREASURE, at Blackwood, at an inquest on Frank RICHARDS, a ship's fireman, of Llanelly, who was found in a back lane in Blackwood with his throat cut on Sunday morning. Olive THOMAS, of Pontllanfraith, said she was delivering milk on Sunday morning, and a strange man seemed to be following her she complained to a Mr. JONES. Mr. J. JONES, collier, of Brynhyfryd-street, said that after hearing the complaint he went with the girl to the back of the house to see where the man was. They found him lying down in a dying condition with a razor near. OBITUARIES. The funeral of Mr. Joseph WILLIAMS, of Market-square, (Pontypridd), who died at the age of 91 on Monday last, took place at Glyntaff Cemetery, the Rev. W.A. WILLIAMS (Minister at the Tabernacle Chapel) officiating. CANNING, J.P., who for 30 years was a member of the Newport Town Council, and was a director of the Newport Gas Company, was celebrated at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Newport, on Friday. He retired about seven years ago and entered the Welsh Home at Rocky River. Alderman William George JAMES, J.P.., C. G. Llysyronen, Fishguard has died at the age of seventy-four. He was a first cousin of Mr. David Lloyd GEORGE. He was a retired estate agent and auctioneer. He had for many years taken a prominent part in the public life of Pembrokeshire. He was alderman of the county council, ex-chairman of Haverfordwest rural district council and board of guardians, and vice-chairman of Mathry bench of magistrates. Mr. William CASEY, a Labour member of the Newport has been bereaved by the death of his father, Mr. Thomas CASEY, of Alexandra road, who died at the age of 66. The CASEY'S are a well known Newport family. J.P. CASEY the old Cardiff  and Pill Harriers rugby forward and Walter CASEY, the Newport rugby forward are members of it. The death is announced after a long illness of Mrs. LEWIS, wife of Mr. A. Frederic LEWIS, merchant, Llangadock. Mrs. LEWIS, who was forty-eight years of age, was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. LOCKYER, County Press, Llandilo. The Rev. Ronald LOCKYER, M.A., vicar of Reynoldston, and Mr. Howard LOCKYER, M.A., Merchiston Castle College, Edinburgh, are brothers. Mrs. LEWIS was well known throughout the upper part of the county, and her public services will be much missed.     3. Western Mail Friday May 14th 1926.   (Strike Edition). OBITUARY. The burial took place at the Jewish Cemetery, Cefn Coed, on Thursday of Mr. Julius PRAG, of 7, Meyrick Villas, Merthyr, secretary and registrar for the local Hebrew Congregational Church. Aged 70 years, he was the son of the late Rev. Jacob PRAG, at one time professor of Hebrew. He emigrated to Australia as a lad, and after his return to England in 1878 he settled in Merthyr, where he established an outfitters' and jewelry business. Instituted as a master in 1901, he was the first Hebrew to occupy the chair of the loyal Cambrian Lodge of Freemasons. He was an ex-president of the Merthyr Chamber of Trade and a former treasurer of the local Library association. The officiating minister at the funeral was the Rev. E. BLOOM, Merthyr. Mrs. Price JONES, wife of a well-known Cardiff, shipbroker, died at her residence Brynrhos, Romilly Park, Barry, on Thursday. A large number of members of the R.A.O.B. attended the funeral at Newport of Mr. George HINE, who was 71 years of age and had spent 60 years in the town. Mr. Joseph THOMAS, a well-known Swansea Insurance Agent has died at his residence 41, Henrietta-street in his 74th year. After serving a term at the local bank he was associated with certain dock shipping firms, and subsequently established himself in business for himself as insurance agent. He was for many years organist at Brunswick Chapel, and was much interested in musical matters locally. The death took place at the residence of his son, ex-councillor E.E. WILLIAMS, Prescelly, Colcot-road, Barry of Mr. Edward WILLIAMS, of Spittalls, Pembrokeshire at the age of 76 years. Mr. WILLIAMS was one of the best known men in Pembrokeshire. Whilst on a visit to his son he had a heart attack about a month ago and never recovered. He had been a member of the Spittalls Parish Council for many years, was one of the local school managers, and for the past fifty years had been one of the leading figures in Church circles in Pembrokeshire. The death has occurred of Mr. Joseph WILLIAMS, of Market-square, Pontypridd, at the age of 91. Mr. WILLIAMS who was a native of Pontllanfraith, came to the town about fifty years ago, and for a long time conducted the Cambrian Restaurant in Market-square. He was a worshipper at the Tabernacle Chapel. He leaves three daughters and two sons. John Patrick

JONES, of Hereford, stated that she was the mother of 17 children. When making an order for payment of 15s. a week, the bench advised the couple to "make it up". Mr.Pitt LEWIS (Messrs. Frank LEWIS and Sons) represented complainant. Dr. R.J. SMITH (City Coroner) returned a verdict of death from "Senile decay and cardiac syncope" at an inquest conducted on Thursday into the death of Mr. Charles STUART, of 11, Plantagenet-street, Cardiff, who died suddenly on Monday. Mr. STUART claimed to be a direct descendant of the line of STUART Kings. The Coroner expressed sympathy with the widow and daughter. Mr. Thomas Anthony Hwfa WILLIAMS, of Coombe Springs, Kingston Hill, Surrey. Clerk of the Course at Sandown Park, who died on March 30th, aged 76 years left estate "so far as at present can be ascertained" of the gross value of £29,136, with net personalty £28,491. Probate of the will dated October 30th 1882 has been granted to his widow Mrs. Florence WILLIAMS, to whom he left all his property absolutely. Mr. George GILBERT, of the Coast Guard Station, Llantwit Major, who died on 29th March, left estate of the gross value of £802 with net personalty £780. Probate of the will has been granted to his widow, Mrs. Mabel Blanche GILBERT. The first meeting of creditors was held on Thursday, at the office of the Official Receiver (Mr. Ellis OWEN), 34, Park Place, Cardiff, of Archibald Charles HOBBS, 18, Kingsland-road, Cardiff, watchmaker and jeweller, carrying on business at 147, Cowbridge-road, Cardiff.
