My husband saw this obit in our paper tonight and I thought someone just might like to have it. SAN MARCOS, CA. Wed. Dec. 13, 2000 MARY JANE HEWLETT, 96Mary Jane Hewlett, 96, died Monday, Dec. 4, 2000, at her home.Born Oct. 24, 1904, in Neosho, MO., she lived in San Marcos for three years and previously lived in Escondido. She was a sales clerk for Christian Art Studio for seven years. Mrs. Hewlett was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Hewlett, in 1962. She is survived by her sister, Ethel Queener of Newbury, S.C.; grandchildren: Cynthia Hewlett of Escondido, Martin Hewlett of Lake Tahoe, Sherry, Diana and Del Turk, all of Murrieta, Lee Slajer of Los Angeles, Lynn Berenschot and Penny and Don Hewlett, all of Escondido; and many great-grandchildren. A graveside service was held at 10a.m.Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Oak Hill Memorial Park, with the Rev. Richard Williams of Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido officiating. Burail followed.
