Would death certificates from the years 1860 and 1875 be recorded and if so would they be at the county seat of the county where the person died. Also marriage certificates. I'm looking for some in Newton County. Thanks, Nancy
No such certificates exist till after the turn of the century. tho, you might find a recorded headstone. ----- Original Message ----- From: <User624492@aol.com> To: <MONEWTON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, October 07, 2000 5:07 PM Subject: [MONEWTON] Newton County Seat > Would death certificates from the years 1860 and 1875 be recorded and if so > would they be at the county seat of the county where the person died.
