    2. Hi, I was trying to get this message to John Dill and it bounced back to me. I hope John gets this. Thank you. From: johndill@ipa.net (John Dill) Reply-to: MONEWTON-L@rootsweb.com To: MONEWTON-L@rootsweb.com Can anyone shed light on this puzzle? This is a Barry County probate but I found some of these surnames in Newton County and would like to know if there are connections.?? Heirs: Richard Brannum, George Brannum, Wm Rutlege, Elizabeth M Williams, Elijah Rutlege, Benj Rutlege, Mahlda Gan, John Rutlege, Polly Gun, Thomas Gunn, Thomas Rutlege, Nancy Rutledge (m Stephen D Sutton 1848), Jane Gun, B Rutlege, Peter Rutlege. Hi John, Was just looking through my Red Book and these dates show on the different counties. Newton county was made in 1838 from part of Barry county. Webster 1855 from Greene county Barry 1835 from Greene county Greene 1833 from Crawford/ Wayne counties Osage 1841 from Gasconade Crawford 1829 from Gasconade Gasconade 1820 from Franklin McDonald 1849 (first named Seneca then changed to McDonald in 1849) made from Newton County. Lawrence 1845 made from Barry/Dale counties Dade 1841 from Barry/Polk Jasper 1841 from Barry I hope this helps rather than confuses. Just thought you might like an idea of counties you could search in and how when one person lived in one place for twenty years his address would change. Jo in California
