I would be glad to exchange info on McBee. I descend from Penelope Shelton of Claiborne Co. TN, who married Robert Beeler in 1861. They eventually had 15 children, abt. 10 of whom lived past 1900. They moved to Newton Co. MO. abt. 1886 or so and three of the Beeler girls (daughters of Penelope) married McBee. Luta m. John Granville in 1887, Lou Flora m. A. G. in 1888 Sallie m. James Barton in 1887. All 3 filed for citizenship in the Cherokee Nation Indian Territory, starting in 1896 or so, claiming ancestry through their mother (1/4) and their grandfather Ralph Shelton (1/2 Cherokee) All were denied. I am interested mainly in their children and grandchildren. I would also be happy to trade info on Beeler and Shelton.
