For Mary: Thank you for your reply. Elizabeth Akin was at least 15, maybe, when she married Reuben Lawson, so she couldn't be the the young woman who married Reuben. I was hoping to maybe find an Akin family that moved west across central Indiana, probably by way of Cinncinnati and Terre Haute, IN. There was a wagon road across there in the early 1830's. Elizabeth Akin Lawson was desceced before the census of 1850. I have other Lawson relatives who settled in New Madrid. That is why I still belong to the list.
