Manes ESSEX -- Lois M. Manes, 65, died Oct. 1, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. Born June 8, 1941, in Morehouse, daughter of the late Hollis and Effie Ratliff DeWitt, she was a housewife and lived most of her life in Essex. On June 6, 1959, in Morehouse, she married Bobby Manes who survives of the home. Other survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Rhonda Manes of Sikeston; two brothers, Charles DeWitt of Sikeston and Jerry DeWitt of the state of Texas; two sisters, Joann Matthews of Sikeston and Mickey Rudisill of Morehouse; one grandson, Kevin Manes of Essex; and two granddaughters, Lindsay Manes of Sikeston and Rebecca Marie Harden of Essex. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Natalie Renae Harden; four brothers, two of which were in infancy; and two sisters in infancy. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. James Malloy will officiate.
