Do you know if your Meatte family might be the same one that helped raise him? I've also discovered a free website called www.findagrave.com where you can look for your families headstones by name, state or cemetery. In some areas there are volunteers who will go take digital pictures of your family headstones and post them on the website for you. You can also look for family members in other countries.
