Chris was a 1998 graduate of Bloomfield High School, a cashier for the Aldi Grocery Store in Sikeston and attended the Miner Baptist Church. On June 23, 2001 he was united in marriage to Shelley Atchley in Lilbourn and she survives of the home. Besides his wife and parents, he is survived by two brothers, Steve Sanders of Morehouse and Kyle Sanders of Dyersburg; by one sister, Melissa Sanders of Sikeston; by his paternal grandparents, Charles and Linda Sanders of Bloomfield; by his maternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Robert and Wanda Ogden of Morley; by his maternal grandmother, Virginia Ogden of Sikeston; by his step-grandmother, Charlene Ford of Bloomfield; and step-grandparents, Ernie and Dorothy Stroud of Wappapello. Funeral ser! vices were conducted at 10:30 a.m., May 6 at the Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston with Rev. Mitchell Jackson, pastor of the Miner Baptist Church, and Rev. Kelley Grubbs, pastor of Murray Lane Baptist Church, officiating. Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston with Nunnelee Funeral Home of Sikeston in charge of arrangements.
