Stroud, the daughter of the late Tom and Laura Barnes Woodson, was born in Parma on March 4, 1925 and died at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis on May 14, 2002, at the age of 77. Mildred was a life-long resident of Morehouse and was a member of the Oneness Pentecostal Church in Morehouse. On July 28, 1943 she was united in marriage to Lee Stroud at New Madrid. He preceded her in death on June 12, 1993. Surviving are two sons, Ronnie Stroud and Donnie Stroud, both of Morehouse; two daughters, Janice Kay Laminack and Brenda J. Sanders, both of Morehouse; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; two brothers, Avery Woodson of Morehouse and Richard Woodson of Christmas, Fla.; and two sisters, Wanda Copeland of Ala. and Sibyl Wilson of Sikeston. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 16 after 5 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, May 17 at 11 a.m. in the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel with R! ev. Frank Breeden of Morehouse officiating. Interment will follow in the Essex Cemetery with Watkins & Sons Funeral Service of Morehouse in charge of arrangements. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
