Hall, the son of the late William and Dora Phillips Hall, was born in New Madrid on June 11, 1918, and died at the Beverly Healthcare Center in New Madrid on Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at the age of 85 years. Mr. Hall had lived all of his life in Tallapoosa and New Madrid. He was a retired farm laborer. He was a member of the V.F.W. and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in New Guinea, the Philippines Liberation and Luzon. He was awarded three bronze stars. Surviving are one brother, William Lee Hall of Pontiac, Mich.; and one sister, Marie Caudle of Oran. Visitation will be held from 9-11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Home in Parma. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 23, 2004, in the Watkins & Sons Chapel in Parma. Interment will follow in the Mounds Cemetery near Lilbourn with the American Legion Post #595 Honor Guard of New Madrid in charge of full military honors at the graveside. Mrs. Cooper was a member of the New Prospect Baptist Church, a homemaker and a resident of Bernie. She was united in marriage to Carl Lee Cooper on Dec. 26, 1933, at Bloomfield. Mr. Cooper preceded her in death on April 11, 1997. Survivors include four daughters, Janis Morris of Leavenworth, Kan., Joyce Kinder of Dallas, Texas, Marilyn Smit of Wildwood, and Joan Schilin of St. Augustine, Fla.; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Carl Lee Cooper, Jr.; two brothers, Charlie Goolsby and Howard Goolsby; two sisters, Ruby Sater and Marie Goolsby; and three grandchildren. Mrs. Pennington was of the Baptist Faith, a former employee of Elder Manufacturing Company in Bloomfield and a resident of Bloomfield. She was united in marriage to Bill Pennington in 1970 at Sikeston. Mr. Pennington preceded her in death on September 19, 1984. Survivors include on son, Jasper Pennington of Dexter; by two daughters, Glenda Foreman of Pooler, George and Delores Phillips of Dexter; by two step-sons, Rev. Bill Pennington of Bloomfield and Rev. Jerry Pennington of Puxico; by one step-daughter, Darlene Willard of Cedar Hill; by one sister, Delphia Hugdon of Sikeston; by two grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Boone was a school nurse for the New Madrid County R-1 School District. She was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and of the Lucy Jefferson Lewis Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (D.A.R.) in New Madrid. On April 30, 1936 she was united in marriage to George Dawson Boone in New Madrid. He preceded her in death on March 19, 1983. Survivors include one son, William Edward "Bill" Boone of Dexter; two daughters, Ella Hunter Underwood of Huntsville, Ala. and Helen Claire Schott of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Cora Jett of Poplar Bluff; 10 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren. He was the son of the late Martin Allen Hart and Hannah Melton Hart. Ezra was preceded in death by six older brothers, one sister and his youngest child, Clara Jo (Jody). He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Geneva, and five children, Jean Hart (Alexander Zatarain) of Los Altos, CA., Larry Hart (Sandra Hart) of Cathlamet, WA., Kay Hart (David Patterson) of Portland, OR., Michael Hart of Vancouver, WA., and Stephen Hart (Sharon Hart) of Cathlamet, WA. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews and friends, all of whom will miss him. Ezra was a member of the United Methodist Church since early adultdhood. He was also a member of the Longview-Kelso B.P.O.E. and a past president of the Kelso Lion's Club. He had many interests including wood working, stringed musical instruments, and gardening. Born April 9, 1914, in Fredonia, Ky., daughter of the late Allen B. and Elvada Rustin Andrews, she lived in Morehouse most of her life. On March 10, 1934, at Morehouse, she married Paul L. Ferrell Sr. who preceded her in death on May 13, 1988. Survivors include: one son, Barry D. Ferrell of Morehouse; one daughter, Gail Richards of Dexter; and one grandchild. She was also preceded in death by one son, Paul L. Ferrell, on May 17, 1999; one stepson, Doyle Ferrell, on Feb. 10, 1978; one brother, Ancell Andrews; and one sister, Alta M. Hicks. Friends may call after 11 a.m. Thursday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Morehouse. Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the Essex Cemetery. Born March 12, 1921, in Greenwood, Miss., son of the late Hugh and Channie Mae Brown Green, he was a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church in New Madrid. His wife, Dorothy Ross Green, died April 5, 1998. Survivors include: three daughters, Sammie Robinson and Channie Hoskins of New Madrid and Deloris Word of Columbia; four sons, Anaise Green Jr. of New Madrid, Willie Eddie Green and Joe Lewis Green of Okeechobee, Fla., and Fred Grant of Columbia; one sister, Minnie Johnson of Downers Grove, Ill.; and 17 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. Two sisters and five brothers also preceded him in death. Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday at Richards Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday at Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leotis Akins, pastor, officiating. Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery. Rogers Jaeger, 56, formerly of Morehouse, Mo., died Sept. 29, 2001, at Pecan Manor Health Care in Kennedale. Born Aug. 1, 1945, in Orland, Calif., to Juanita Adkins Rogers of West Allis, Wis., and the late Rollie R. Rogers, she grew up in Morehouse, attended Morehouse Schools and graduated in the Class of 1963. She attended the School of the Ozarks at Point Lookout and the University of Missouri-Columbia. She completed her bachelor of arts degree at Arlington Baptist College then attended the University of Texas at Arlington, completing her master's degree in library science at North Texas University at Denton. While attending college she worked as a substitute teacher. She then worked as a librarian at Arlington Baptist College in Arlington until 1988 when ill-health forced her retirement. In 1971, she married James Jaeger who survives of the home. In addition to her mother and husband she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Bethany and Chase Rankin of Arlington; one brother, Michael Rogers of Wauwatosa, Wis.; and one granddaughter, Dakota Rankin of Arlington. She was preceded in death by one son, Nathan Jaeger. Memorial services were conducted Oct. 1 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Arlington with the Rev. Jerry Phillips officiating. Born Dec. 17, 1933, in New Madrid, Mo., he lived in Okaloosa County, Fla., since 1984. He served with the U.S. Air force in the Korean War and during the Vietnam era, retiring as a technical sergeant after 20 years of service. He had been a bus driver for the Scott County (Mo.) R-5 School District. Haynes was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Crestview, the Foxwood Country Club and Pacemaker Golf Association. His wife, Katherine Brummel Haynes, survives of the home. Other survivors include: one son, Wayne Edward Haynes of Tallahassee, Fla.; two daughters, Georgette Cameron of Cape Carteret, N.C., and Sandra Seiler of Wrightstown, Wis.; one Brother, Edward Haynes of Morrisville, Mo.; and a cousin, Bill Haynes of Sikeston, Mo.
