I am a cousin of the original poster and have just started dabbling in my family geneology. I'm sure you already have this information but it seems that George Frances Schimpff came from Landau Pfalz, Germany. Apparently Landau is in the Rhineland in the Southwestern part of Germany. The trail for both Letitia Bridges and George Schimpff seem to go cold quickly. I had never heard that two of the daughters were adopted ... interesting ... I do know that at one time Molly Yates (I believe that she was the daughter of the other Schimpff sister) had a family bible. She and her oldest daughter have passed away and I don't know who inherited the bible ... or even if it would have any information vital to any of us ... but that was just an FYI and I may have some of the people or names mixed up ... I heard these stories long ago when I wasn't interested in geneology. I wish you good luck! Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
