Sandi, You cannot prove anything about the Halls by me. I researched that family for years, wrote hundreds of letters, hired a genealogist in AL, have contacted descendants of Margaret's siblings (d/o of Wm. Hall that was married to Wm. Moncrief) and still have not found who Margaret's grandparents were. None of us can understand that no one has come up with this as the Hall girls married into well known Indian families - Moncrief, Folsom & LeFlore. (Then we also got into the Halls, Walls & Balls that was really something.) This Margaret, on census, etc., stated her father was from Ireland. It is unbelieveable how many Wm. Halls came from Ireland in the same period and also how many received land grants in AL in the same period. That is what makes some of us wish for an ancestor with a name like pwutoewgf wkiofmnv - at least one would know when they had the correct one. If we could find which Moncrief married a Mary Ann Cheadle, maybe we could solve this mystery. As far as the "other" Margaret Hall, I just know that she was one of at least three wives of Sam Moncrief and "perhaps" her father was Perry Hall. Sorry I cannot help more. Marlene - >Hi John & All: > >You might be confused but you weren't dozing off when you read my bio post. >Nothing gets by you! There were two Margaret Hall's and they were cousins. >Marlene, please correct me if I'm wrong on this. So, you are right on both >counts, Juan. Best, Sandi :)
