    3. Many people were not called by their true names. All I ever heard my grandmonther called was Nanny Liza Hall. I didn't find out until I started my research on the family that her true full name was Nancy Elizabeth. Since then I have came across many people who had Nanny as the family name when their true name was Nancy. The same is true of Liza or Eliza. That was not their true name. It would be Elizabeth. It is often the case that the family name is far from the true name. That is what I was asking, implying nothing.
