Turpin and wife Sarah Jane Hardwick who had 10 children together, one of them being Laura Turpin my great-grandmother. Viola was one of her sisters that married Charles Franklin Hammons and had Matthew Ralston and Myrtle May by him and then she died. He remarried my great-grandmother Laura and they had my grandmother, Josephine Hammons in 1907.
