I would like to take the opportunity to thank all of the volunteers who aided my plea for information regarding the former Eagan's Twin Cove resort on the Lake of the Ozarks in late August/early September. Everyone's information aided in pinpointing and eliminating its exact location. Thanks to a GPS map somene sent, I know have the exact coordinates. My Mother & sister were in the area and able to visit the location last month, having not been there since 1977 when my Grandfather died while on vacation. My mother was also able to find the daughter of the lady who cleaned the cabins at Eagan's through the Chamber of Commerce in Sunrise Beach (somebody knew somebody.) My mother talked to her on the phone, and the daughter remembered my grandparents. They were able to meet for coffee while in Sunrise Beach, and she took my mother to the location of the former resort, now private property with several homes. When they arrived at the location, looking at the lake from the street (no public access,) a home owner was in her yard. When the home owner inquired as to what they were doing there, she invited them to use her yard to access the lake. A short visit of only 10 minutes, but it made my Mother's day.
