They were natives of Virginia, Elijah being of English and the Fannie of Scotch descent. Sometime after the 1843 death of Fannie, Elijah Anderson marrried his second wife, Mary McHugh, thought to be a Missouri native. Their daughter, Susan F. Anderson, was born in Fauquier County, Va., June 30, 1825 and was married in 1843 in St. Louis, Missouri to Dr. William J. Wackerle. They raised their family in Morgan County, Illinois. Between 1831 and 1835 they moved to Lincoln or Morgan County, Mo., settled on a farm, and resided there until their deaths. Fannie (Browning) Anderson died in 1843, and Elijah Anderson died in January, 1888, at the age of ninety-four years. >From A HISTORY OF MORGAN COUNTY AND SOME OF ITS PEOPLE BY A.G. BAKER, Editor of the VERSAILLES STATESMAN VERSAILLES, MISSOURI, 1907-17, Elijah is found in Township 43, Range 17: February 3rd, 1831, Elijah Anderson, east half northwest section 7. Little else is known about the family of Elijah Anderson and I am hoping to correspond with anyone having more information on this them.
