It's been a *very* busy couple of weeks. Thanks for offering to include that news clipping in the local historical society's records! I certainly do hope that it helps someone else. JW spent about the last 10 years of his life residing with his daughter and son-in-law out in California, so the death certificate was from there. You're right, he nearly made the century mark! Their obituaries were posted to the Morgan Co. message board back in May, 2006. I also took some photos of stones in the Versailles Cemetery when I was out there around 5 years ago; I'm happy to share if folks would like to use them.
