After the war, he was given land in Berkeley Springs (the land my father was born on). Not far from the family farm is a grave yard that contains our grandfathers remains, a marker on his grave reads "Revolutionary War, Continental Divide" and has a date of 1844 on it. There is also a historical "veteran war" marker next to the plaque. He is grave is visible from Mountain Run Road just past Cherokee Trail on the right.
