I have found some Noltings in Widner, Knox County, Indiana, that I believe tie into my Noltings in Franklin County Missouri. This is where my g-grandmother Nannie Nolting was born - Franklin County, Mo. Frederick's wife, and Nannie's mother - Mary Elizabeth Steiwig - was born in Texas. (This line has stumped me too.) I'm not sure I have Nolting ancestors in Morgan County, but am approaching my research from all angles. There are many Noltings in Warren County too, that may tie in - they may all be related at some point! Your research sounds awesome - do you have any Noltings in Franklin County MO, or in Indiana?
