Author: JulieSpencer11 Surnames: Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.morgan/1299.2.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Hi, Other census records I have found: 1850 census, Haw Creek, Morgan CO, MO: OETERS, Henry age 52 Anna, age 46 Clarrs, age 16 Henry, age 12 This should be Henry OTTEN. 1870, Richlane Twp, Morgan CO: OTTIN/OTLIN, C H, 37 Mary, looks like age is 18 August, 10 Henry 2/12 Also have OTTIN, Henry age 74; Anna age 69 in their own household 1880, OTTEW, Claus, in Boonville 1900, Otten, C H, in Boonville 1905, Otten, C H, Mound City, Linn CO, KS 1910, Otten, C H, Lawrence, Ward 4, Douglas CO, KS 1920, Salina, Ward 1, Saline CO, KS. Otten, C H, is living in the hosuehold of W E Kruse & Nettie R Kruse with Claus listed as father-in-law. Since Claus died in 1928 in Kansas City, Jackson CO, MO, with W E Kruse as informant, and both have the same address in Kansas City, the Kruse family was evidently living in Kansas City by the time Claus died. The death certificate states Claus was buried in Boonville, so possibly he is buried in Walnut Grove cemetery as his mother Anna and brother John are. Could you please point me in the direction for the information on Augustus Theodore Otten, s/o Claus and Mary Jane Casdorph? Did you find this information from baptism records?
