Thank you to all who responded so far. (New leads still appreciated!) All tidbits of information seem to be pulling together, and I believe we are "near" the correct area. The address was indeed off LR 5-33 (Sunrise Beach) as a pay phone record has been located for Eagan's Twin Coves. Fresh information from my mother: I remember Hwy 5 (south from Versailles) and going past Sunrise Beach. We turned left (east) on a dirt road just before the Hurricane Deck. This road was very long and I think Eagan;s was almost to the end. I remember a name of Whispers/whispering coves (?) resort maybe next door or nearby. It just didn't look right to her. (?) I asked her about the names Jesse & Pat that I seemed to remember. Jesse Eagan and her late husband Ed were the original owners of Eagan's Twin Coves. When Jesse passed away, she willed the resort to her niece Pat. Pat was in poor health and sold the resort ("a year or two after Grandpa died in 1977." ) This corresponds with the obituary previously posted for the former owner of Eagan' ('79-'90) Max Stephenson.
