Hello Morgan Co.! I may have a strange request. I am trying to help my Mother find my Grandfather's final resting place. His body was cremated, and his ashes were taken in a boat and scattered on the Lake in 1977. He vacationed at the same resort in the Ozarks every year for over 30 years. A true fisherman, he died in his boat, found sitting upright, with his fishing pole still in his hand. I am looking for the address of the resort, but not sure exactly where it was located. My mother and sister are planning a trip to the area this Fall, and would like to visit. It was called Eagan's (Egan's) Twin Cove. Located somewhere in the vicinity of Laurie, Sunrise Beach and Rocky Mount. I believe the mailing address of the resort was Laurie, but he was found in Morgan Co. near Rocky Mount. Internet searches have not brought up anything. More than likely it was sold or the name was changed. To my knowledge it had the same name from the mid-late 1940's until at least 1977.
