Building the lake of the Ozarks was a community effort and many families that lived in the area worked on the project in one way or another. I have always loved to recount the stories my grandfather Emory A Paul who was a farmer and lived in Barnett, Mo for more than 80 years told us at the family table. He worked moving the graves from the old cemeteries plus some other jobs. What a story teller he was, always embellishing his daily experiences and making every day special because of his retelling. I'm going to check out the records at the University of Missouri this summer. Bonnie Morris Conrad
