According to the Williams cemetery books: Salem cemetery is located about 6 miles west of Versailles and 2 miles east of Stover, Mo. on a gravel road just off Hwy 52. The Church is no longer there and the cemetery is not cared for very well. A.G.Baker's 1905 History of Morgan county states on page 41: Salem has no pastor and has done very little work during the last few years. This church is located six miles west of Versailles and the congregation has a good building." Dorothy and Bill Williams visited the cemetery 10 March 1994 and copied the inscriptions and noted in which row each visible grave was located. The cemetery was not hard to get to and was in better shape than we expected I have the cemetery books and would be glad to do look-ups.
