Crook's mother was "Fannie" White. Thanks to Joan Shepp I found my Major William White Crook this summer. She did a terrific search for me. Really enjoyed meeting her. The White family are kin to the Rucker family........a Ruckersville in Virginia is their origin. They were all major slave holders. In the 1850 census page 246 line 358 Richland Twp. Morgan County there is a William P Tooley 28 years old merchant born Missouri 2450.00 male Susan Ann Tooley 17 years old born Missouri Female John Crook 6/12 years old born Missouri Male -So the name is Tooley Not Dooley as in Joan's reference and there is a connection between these two families. I also see That in Morgan County wills William W. Crook signed the will of John Gracy will # 96. Interesting how all these names keep popping up in my research. Hi to both of you. He was married to Ruth Webster. He is the son of Hiram HIBDON. His sister Eula b. 1909 was married to a COTTEN/ the GENSERT. I am trying to find anyone related to this line. Looking for family photo.
