My notes on William. My maternal line includes Larimore through Richard Larimore Greenstreet, a Civil War veteran. CENSUS--1840, Morgan Co., Missouri. Rachel Larimore, wife of Richard Larimore and mother of Zippora Larimore Greenstreet, resided with them. She was about 70 years old. !CENSUS--1860 Morgan Co., Missouri, Mill Creek Township--Rachel Larimorer, 83, b. IN, still living with Joseph Williams and wife Rachel, 47, b. KY. (B. 1773). !MIGRATION--His family came to St. Louis area of Missouri about 1800. His father (unnamed) owned a farm in St. Louis Co. Joseph married Rachel Larimore in Franklin Co., Missouri on 15 May 1832. He and family moved to Morgan Co., Missouri about 1843 and settled on a 40 acre farm on Little Richland Creek south of Syracuse. [Source: Ron Learrymore E-mail, 1999, quoting a Jim Williams. Also source for occupation, military and death notes.] !OCCUPATION--Farming. He also "gophered" for lead. !MILITARY--All but one young son fought for the Union in the Civil War. !DEATH--About 01 March 1894. He was buried in Mt. Carmel Cemetery (behind Baptist Church) on 03 March 1894. Burial: "I made a pilgrimage today. Mt Carmel Church and Cemetery is 6.6 Miles South of Syracuse, Morgan Co. Mo On Route D. Blake Lorraine A. Blake of Versailles, 88 died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2002, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1914, in Omaha Neb., the daughter of Frank and Ellen Derby. On Jan. 30, 1932, she married Frank H. Blake, who preceded her in death Dec. 24, 1981. Mrs. Blake was a Episcopalian. She was director of Christian Education at All Saints Episcopal Church, Kansas City, from 1956 to 1960. She was a homemaker. She is survived by two daughters, Michele Miller, Versailles and Sharon Carter, Blue Springs; three granddaughters, Candi Cussimanid, Blue Springs, and Tracy Wilson and Kellee Chamberlain, Versailles; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Randi Lee Carter. Her body was cremated and inurnment was at Mt. Morah and Freeman, Kansas City. Morgan County (Mo) Press, Nov 20, 2002 Frank Blake Frank Hurwitt Blake, 68, Versailles, formerly of the Laurie community, died Thursday morning, Dec. 24, at the Good Shepherd Nursing Home in Versailles. He was born Jan. 5, 1913 in Kansas City, a son of the late Charles and Nona Mount Blake. He was married Jan. 30, 1932, to Lorraine Derby, who survives of the home. He was a realtor for the Russell P. Hall Co. in Laurie for 20 years prior to his retirement. He was past assistant treasurer of the Business Mans Assurance Company in Kansas City, a World War II Marines Veteran and served in the South Pacific for two years. He also was past Commander of the American Legion Post in Kansas City, and Past Commander of the Chef-DeGare 40 & 8 Society in Kansas City. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Michele Miller, Versailles, and Mrs. Sharon Carter, Kansas City; three granddaughters, and other relatives and friends. Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 26, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Henry officiating. Entombment was in the Mount Moriah Mausoleum in Kansas City.
