    3. Hi, What little I have indicates that Mourning Kelly and the Rev. David W. Johnson were Not the parents of the three Johnson children mentioned since David and Mourning were married on 15 Jan 1827 in Cooper Co, Missouri. Anderson Wesley Johnson was b on 05 Apr 1811 in Warren Co, Kentucky, Greene J. Johnson was born abt 1819 in Warren Co, Kentucky, and Jesse Johnson was born in 1821 in Missouri. I do list their father as a David Johnson. Unfortunately, it looks like this David and the Rev. David W were both in Cooper Co, Missouri in 1830 and near the same age, between 30-39! RECORDS: 1830 US Census, Cooper Co, MO pg 215 David Johnson 1120010000000-0001001000000. Note the four boys. 1830 US Census, Cooper Co, MO, pg 225 David W Johnson 2000010000000-0000100000000. Note the two very young boys. Hope this helps. Regards, Jerry Haldiman Central Missouri Families databases http://www.cenmofamilies.us

    2. Dear Marsha, I don't remember the specifics of this look up but if she's not buried with her husband it is kind of strange. Do you have her death certificate? If not I would try again to find her obituary or her death certificate and see if it states where she is buried. Sometimes a wife will be buried next to her husband and no stone for her is set. My great grandmother died (Versailles Cem) and her husband put a nice pink granite stone for her with a little space at the bottom. When he died and was buried no one set a stone for him or added his name to her stone. From the age of 5 (when he died) I visited their graves and knew exactly where he was buried so when I was grown and became interested in Cem restoration I had his information added to her stone. Just maybe she is beside her husband with no stone. Let me know what her dates are again. I will be gone for a few days. I'm picking up my daughter from college for the Holidays. 3. Wayne I looked at your site and was very impressed. You have done a great deal of work. As to my Joseph Williams, there seems to be some similarities. Joseph was born in Brunswick cty Virginia circa 1756. Rumor has it that his fathers name was John but we have no proof. He is later found with his wife and her family in North Carolina. He and Sarah moved with her family to Missouri in 1795. If there is a relationship, I would think that Britton would be a brother with Joseph. Giles would also be a brother and your Giles would possibly be a nephew. They all seem to be moving around in the same areas over the years. There are other Vaughans in Joseph's line. His daughter Arabella married William Vaughan (Franklin Cty Mo.) Also I believe that Joseph's son Lewis had a daughter who married James Vaughan. So there could be other connections with these families. I would be interested in learning anything you find on these two families. Joanne ----- Original Message ----- From: "Wayne M. 3. The Morgan county War Memorial page is located at: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pattiejo/morgan/wardead/war_mem.html Click on The link for Pictures of War Memorial, some of the ones listed I happened to have more information on, if so you can click on the underlined names for more info. This is a part of my main page which is located at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~pattiejo/index.html There is a lot of Morgan county info there as well as some other Missouri info. Good luck in your search. 3. Joanne This is most interesting with Rutherford County, NC and another Giles listed there. Some of Britton's children were born in that county. The Giles you are showing as a brother to Joseph could not be the same as mine. My Giles was in Pettis County in 1840 buying land and in 1841 he bought land in Morgan County, MO. and in 1851 he was purchasing land in Arkansas then he came back to Morgan County, MO just before 1860 census. I am wondering if you, Marsha, and I connect some where in NC. I am going to invite you to my site on Ancestry if you don't mind taking a look at the line and see if anything rings a bell to you. Thanks Wayne ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, November 02, 2008 10:41 AM Subject: [MOMORGAN] [Fwd: Re: Williams] ---------------------------- Original Message ---------------------------- Subject: Re: [MOMORGAN] Williams From: "Wayne M. Vaughn" <[email protected]> Date: Sat, November 1, 2008 5:18 pm To: [email protected] -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Wayne and Marsha I am also a descendant of Joseph and Rachel Laramore Williams through there son William Francis Williams. Joseph Williams was the grandson of Joseph and Sarah Musick Williams. His father was Micajah Williams. According to research done by Frederic Voelker who wrote about old Bill Williams, Joseph Williams married to Sarah Musick had a brother named Giles Williams. In a letter Voelker received regarding Joseph Williams Pension application it states that in 1846 Giles Williams, soldiers's brother, was a residenet of Rutherford Cty NC. Could this Giles be related to your Britton and Giles??? Joanne Marsha Giles "Jiles" Lee Williams father was Britton Williams b. 1767 Flat Gap, Wise, Virginia d. 1842 Greenfield, Dade, Missouri. He married Elizabeth Bolling in 1784 in NC. She was the daughter of Benjamin I Bolling. Giles and his father Britton came to Missouri in about 1807-1810. Before that they were in Barren County, KY by land records. Giles is listed with Capt. Sarshall Cooper in April 1812 at Fort Kincade serving under him. Britton is listed as being in Cooper County in 1811 at Fort Kincade. Do any of these names ring a bell to you? On the Vaughn's in Morgan County I have found no relationship yet. I do have a branch of Vaughn's off my 4th great grandfather that settled in Miller County in 1830. His name was Obediah Vaughn Jr.. So there may be a connection there to Morgan County, I have not found it yet. Britton Williams had on son born about 1815 (most likely Cooper County) and I have never found out who he is yet. What is the information on your Joseph????
