    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: CaroleAMay Surnames: Keist, VanDyke Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.missouri.counties.morgan/1294/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I have an original marriage certificate for George N. Keist of New Berlin, Illinois and Miss Fern Van Dyke of Kewanee, Illinois. They were married in University City, Missouri on the 14th of June 1942 by Pastor Albert J. Korris, Bethel Lutheran Church. This document was recorded by the county and stamped on reversed side with book and page numbers and officially signed by the registrar. I found it at an old antique shop in Illinois. They said that when photos and other documents don't sell, they throw them away. They were getting ready to do just that. The Keist family is from Missouri and Kewanee Illinois areas. This is a true original certificate with raised seal of the church - all in original ink. I bought it with a mission to find its' rightful owners. I am searching for the family in Missouri and Illinois with this last name who may be the rightful owners. My only intention is to re-coup what I paid for them so they can return home where they belong. I did not want the! m to go into the trash, as I know what it means from my own searching what finding lost family photos, wills, marriage certificates means. Some appear to be wedding or anniversary photos. Starting my own search really has made me addicted and anytime I come across labeled photos or documents from now on, I am grabbing them to find their true owners. Family photos alone are treasures, but this is not my family treasure and may be yours. Anyone having any info, please contact me at [email protected] Thank you Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. Carmel but Jane Smith wife of Baxter says NF which means Bill and Dorothy could not find evidence of her grave. Most probably you are correct and she is buried there next to him unmarked but it would be better is the researcher wrote the state records to see if there is an acutual death record for Jane. That would clear this up. The census record that you pulled is an excellent indication also. There are so many great helpers in Morgan County.
