Ellis is buried in Hopewell Cemetery one of the Cemeteries I post for in Morgan County. I looked up his WW1 Draft Registration and he spelled his name Ellis Berkley and he was born Oct 4, 1889, was natural born, white, was a farmer, was Tall, stocky with blue eyes and black hair. He was single and worked his own farm. FHL Roll 1683429. [email protected] If you can't find a family member that wants it the little Museum in Morgan County would love to have the picture to put with others from the area in Morgan. They have a military room with pictures of men from Morgan County. My cousin Porter Sanders has a memorial from WW1 in the Versailles Cemtery and Porter was also born in Barnett and the two boys probably knew each other. Porter was killed in the Argonne Forrest during WW1 and was buried in France and then Aunt Lizzie had his body brought back to be buried with her in Chico Cemetery, Calif. I can give you the address of Morgan County Museum if you email me. The man Sophia divorced was Hermann Köhler, also sometimes spelled Koehler. This was her second husband. Albers was her third. Her first husband, Henry Köttkemeyer died, May 5, 1853. As it turns out, he died early in Sophia's second pregnancy. My great grandfather, Heinrich, although the child of Henry Köttkemeyer, was 4 months in the womb, when she married Hermann Köhler, the abusive drunk, who abandoned Sophia, her infant son, and tottler, the month following Heinrich's birth. This is the man she divorced. John and Henry got their third father, John Henry Albers, two days before Christmas, 1856, the month after Heinrich turned 3 years. John Henry Albers was the only father that my great grandfather ever knew, the first dying before he was born and the second abandoning him within a month of his birth. Yes. I have the docs to prove all of this. Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list. 3. I am new to this list. I am researching the Pemberton family and anyone connected to them. I have a John B. Pemberton on the 1870 census in Versailles, Morgan County, MO. It show's his wife is Anna. Does anyone know who Anna is and when they were married? I have not been able to find a marriga record. John's parents died about 1843 and he lived with his Aunt Rebecca Williamson in Morgan County ( Mill Creek) and is listed with her on the 1850 census. He is missing from census in 1860 and found in 1870. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lisa Pemberton
