I am told the boards will continue. I don't visit them and I really don't know where they are. The list archives will reportedly be available for searching for some time. We are not sure how long. As everyone probably already knows, the Rootsweb lists are going away. Is anyone still here? Does the list admin have a plan to continue the list in another form, such as https://groups.io/? If not, is anyone even interested in such a group? I'm the CC for the Andrew, Carter, DeKalb, Gentry, Holt, Morgan, Pettis, Saline, Taney and Worth County MOGENWeb sites. Here is a message we just received from RootsWeb: Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state. Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb. As an alternative to RootsWeb Mailing Lists, Ancestry message boards are a great option to network with others in the genealogy community. Message boards are available for free with an Ancestry registered account. Thank you for being part of the RootsWeb family and contributing to this community. What I do is go to Ellis Library to the Missouri State Historical Society room in Columbia, Missouri. They have microfilm of all available Morgan County newspapers. They would do a look up for you for a fee, information is available on their website.

The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's with the photograph of a couple in their 30's and a child about 1 year old. I don't know if Charley is the man or the infant. Other writing on the back of the photograph is difficult or impossible to read, all I can make out for sure is ".his Mother." the rest isn't obvious.
