He was the son of Possibly John Isaac King and definately Barbara Stroup. His son John William was born about 1841 in Missouri. John William married Louisa Pratt in 1866. He died in 1876. I was looking at census records today. in 1920 3rd ward Belleville, Republic Kansas my Thomas King was at household 62/64 with his family. In household 65/67 lived Pearl SPISER. Spires was difficult to read and when I saw the name Spires in your e-mail I thought it might be Spires instead of Spiser. I will double check. Pearl was 30 a widow with 3 children. Can't hurt to check.
