    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Hudson/Hoselton/Taylor Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/ZKB.2ACE/89.1.2 Message Board Post: Hi, Carol! Are you related to Carol Diane Taylor? Sampson B. & Augusta Hudson are supposed to be my great grandparents, through their son Frank. He was born in Clinton, Vermillion Co., IN on Aug. 29, 1888.From the dobs of all their kids, they seemed to have the Hudson wanderlust, because they moved around almost every 2 yrs.! According to other relatives, Augusta's maiden name was supposed to have been some variation of spelling of Hoselton, and her parents were either Arthur or Amos Hoselton, and either Isabella Shrout or Florence Cather (depending on which relative's research you want to believe). There's other descrepancies between the family reports as well, regarding Augusta. Tara Painter (related to Sampson's sister, Mary Ellender) states her name as being Mary Augustine "Augusta" Hoselton, with her parents being Arthur Hoselton & Florence Cather. Richard Heckelsberg claims that her name was Augusta Mary Hoselton, with her parents being Amos Hoselton & Isabella S! hrout. Both claim she was born in Benton City, Scott CO., MO on Jan. 10, 1869 or 1870. Her gravestone is located in the Baptist Moses cemetery in Seelyville, IN (on HWY 340?) between Terre Haute and Brazil, IN. It reads: Mother, Augusta M. Hudson, 1870-1907. She is buried by Sampson B. Hudson, Elendar Hudson (as spelled on gravestone) and a few other relations.. I have been told stories of how she was supposed to be full blooded indian, but I've heard she was Blackfoot, Cherokee or Chickasaw, according to who is telling the story. Anyways, I'm sure we are related, so keep in touch, okay? I am in constant touch with Cordie's grandaughter, Carol Diane Taylor.
