First I do have James King's obit and it doesn't list his parents but it does say he was born in Montgomery City. Thanks for including your sources for the marriage etc. I do believe the two boys living with John King in 1900 were his son William's boys. I have very little info on William. He and his wife Mary were listed in the MO cemetery records I just received. He died in 1905 and she in 1908. I will look for custody records for the two boys now. .I never put the boys as boarders with James's household in 1910. That right there ties the two families together!!!! The reason you cannot find James in Montgomery Co is because he moved to Hannibal, Marion co right after his marriage and lived there all his life. His address in Hannibal was in my Grandmother's address book. It matches the address on the censuses and also in his obituary. Therefore, I am confident He is the right James King. I did have the obit for Crandall from ! Marion Co. If the Montgomery County newspaper carried his obit and named his grandparents there's my proof. You have been SOOOO helpful. I really appreciate your help.
