From my research I've found out that the Ernest I was looking for later married a Mary and had the children John and Jeff you mentioned; the only thing I know about them though is what you've told me, other than their obituaries. One of Ernest's sons (my grandfather's half brother) is actually about the same age as my father. Ernest died in 1983, in Montgomery County. Will you ask your mother if that sounds like the same person? I don't even know if Ernest's second family knew about the first one, because like I said before my grandfather never tried to contact his father after he left.
